Solace Creations Double Glazing is a locally owned business supplying quality window products in Canberra since 2006. Colda Constructions was delighted to deliver the redesign of their showroom in Fyshwick.
Colda Constructions managed the project, partnering with Captivate Interior Design, to deliver the unique shop fit out including:
- Maximising opportunities to showcase the wide range of window products without closing off spaces
- Defining flow of movement throughout the space, incorporating continued wood flooring throughout
- Using interior elements to create defined work spaces such as a design hub, office section and meeting room incorporating texture and design features to create an alternative ambiance for these spaces.
As a result, Karen’s vision for the showroom was achieved providing an inviting and functional space for clients and her team.
ALCHEMY Beauty Lab

ALCHEMY is Canberra’s newest boutique beauty lab in the sophisticated C5 precinct, Campbell. As the business owner, Loren’s visions for the fit out was beautifully translated by Captivate Interior Design. Colda Constructions managed the project that was completed by the team within 6 weeks.
The space features modern and on trend pastel colour palette incorporating marble, wood and brass accents. The floor plan utilises the natural lighting from the large shop front windows and uses the high ceilings to create an open relaxed space. The fit out also included a private treatment room. Key features include:
- Sophisticated DALI automation lighting system
- Inbuilt shelving with wood accents and strip lighting
- Custom ceiling to floor curtains
- Herringbone wood floor finish
- Modern centerpiece light in entry
- Latest salon mirrors with built in lighting system

MS BA CO CANBERRA CITY

Colda Constructions completed the shopfit out for the popular Vietnamese food retailer Ms Ba Co in Garema Place, Canberra City. This is the second store for our clients Richard and Elsa Ho following the success of the flagship store at Majura Shopping Centre.
The fitout required a full clean out of the original space. We managed the project from start to finish including building approvals. We designed and constructed a vibrant, functional and quality retail space that complimented the MS BA CO Brand that incorporates a bold colour palette with on trend neon signage and custom graphic wall art.
T BROWS BELCONNEN
Client: T Brows Threading and Tinting

The Belconnen T Brows shop fitout was one of four stores we have completed for the threading and tinting specialists. This shop includes high end finishes of polished stainless steel and 2 pack paint. Other inclusions are:
- Point of Sale counter;
- 4 treatment spaces;
- Waiting area and;
- Custom signage.
The client has repeatedly chosen Colda for its shop fitouts because we deliver on time and on budget. We have worked in partnership with the client and Westfield Belconnen to produce a great result.
WOLLEMI ETHICAL STORE & CAFE

The Wollemi Ethical Store & Cafe in Braddon really shows off our quality shop fitout services. The project featured reclaimed spotted gum which looked fantastic and kept with the Wollemi values. We built and installed:
- Bench seats with planter boxes;
- Point of sale counter;
- Wardrobe;
- Change room;
- Free standing product displays and
- Light stand.
We managed the project from start to finish providing design services, coordinating trades and arranging for certification of the space. This is truly a bespoke shop fitout completely tailored to the clients needs. an eco feel, a fun project to work on.
GUMNUT DANCE

Colda Constructions designed and constructed this specialised dance studio shop fitout on time and under budget.

We are very proud of the awesome new purple frontage (and it’s interior) that you may have seen along your travels. Gumnut Dance’s new dance studio, party space, and office were carefully designed, crafted, and installed by our team together with specialist sub-contractors.
Colda Constructions selected the highest quality materials and finishes for this colourful and functional space. All features were installed to precision, including:
- Sprung dance floors – installed by a specialist team from Melbourne;
- Ballet barres – given extra support by bracing and blocking out the wall behind them;
- Full-length mirrors – polished around the supports for a continuous reflection and
- Accessible toilets – to ensure access to users of all abilities.
